MLSD Referendum 2017: Building the Schools Our Students Deserve
The proposed referendum targets long-term facility needs with a focus on curricular enhancements for technology-rich classrooms and improved arts and athletics facilities. The process began with our Board of Education surveying our faculty and administrator's concerns with our aging and limited facility. Next, the Board carefully interviewed a competitive pool of architects in public for this important project, and it has selected FKA Architects to guide the initiative.
Now, we are in our next stage of the process in which a Steering Committee with representatives from all facets of our community has been developed to analyze the initial FKA referendum draft. The Steering Committee is composed of several sub-committees that will provide direction and guidance as we refine the initial designs.

It is the sub-committee's mission to nurture the relationships between our alumni, as we continue to communicate with our friends, parents, and alumni, both near and far. We are proud to have the opportunity to work with so many Lakers, who generously volunteer their time, talent and treasure to continue to build a web of support for the future of Mountain Lakes Schools. It is our goal to incorporate the alumni, corporate partners, and community members with the referendum process. |

The first meeting of the Steering Committee took place on Tuesday, April 26th at 7:30pm in the Mountain Lakes High School Library. That presentation is embedded below.
